IMD I and II code review
1. Complete the following sample problem, save your work to your login:
Define a variable called color as a string and assign the value "blue"
Define a variable called house as a string and assign the value "brick house"
Create a trace statement concatinating the two variables to make the sentence:
I live in a blue brick house.

IMD I
WRITE YOUR ARTIST'S STATEMENT
You artists statement will help people who look at your portfolio understand who you are as an interactive designer. Write you answers and ideas in a word document.
STEP ONE: Assemble your thoughts
1. Take five minutes and think about what interests you most about interactive media design. What do you see yourself doing in 5 years, 10 years?
2. Make a list of 20 words and phrases that communicate your feelings about what you really like about your work in IMD
3. Answer these questions as simply as you can. What is your favorite tool? Why?
What is your favorite application? Why?
What do you like best about what you do?
What do you mean when you say that a imd project has turned out really well?
4. Look at your word list (step2). Add new words suggested by your answers to the questions above.
5. Choose two key words from your word list. They can be related or entirely different. Look them up in a dictionary. write down the definitions listed for your words. Copy the definitions, thinking about what notions they have in common. Look your words up in a Thesaurus. Read the entries related to your words. Add a few words to your list.
STEP TWO:
Write a one paragraph artist's statement with the three parts below. Keep your sentences authentic and direct. Use the present tense ("I am," not "I was," "I do," not "I did.") Be brave: say nice things about yourself.
Make sure you pull some of the words and phrases you generated from step 1!
Part 1. Begin with a simple statement of why you are studying IMD. Support that statement, telling the reader more about your goals and aspirations.
Part 2. Describe one project that you are proud of. Make sure you describe what you specifically liked about your work.
Part 3. Tell the reader a little more about what you want to learn before you graduate. Do you plan on studying interactive media after you graduate from SWCA?
IMD II
CONTINUE WITH YOUR DEMO REEL! GET THIS PROJECT DONE! SEE THE LINK ON MONDAYS BLOG FOR THE DETAILS.
Create a folder in your login and assemble 10 portfolio pieces of existing work. Use these to continue your demo reel.
You will need to be ready to share your demo reel work on Thursday.
