Interested in getting some real world experience over the summer? The Ohio Super Computer Center is looking for an intern to create a video and a website documenting a summer program.
Interns will be working with IMD graduate Nick Walters who works at OSC. He was hired after completing a summer internship last summer.
Students will need video/photography/web skills.
Here are the program details:
July 26 - August 1, 2009 at OSC
Young Women's Summer Institute (YWSI) is a week-long program sponsored by OSC (Ohio Supercomputer Center) for middle-school girls in Ohio. It is designed to promote computer, math, and science skills as well as provide hands-on experiences. YWSI helps girls develop an interest in these subjects by allowing them to work on a practical, interesting scientific problem using the latest computer technology.
Applicants would need to get themselves to the OSU campus.
If your interested and available for the dates above please let me know by sending me an email to derek.fitzer@swcs.us. Please give a brief statement of why you would be a good candidate for the experience.

IMD I exam review
Be prepared for your WIWTD presentations tommorow! You will need to present 5 minutes, and share with the class what you learned. This should be a presentation, I expect that it's been rehearsed, and you have an introduction, body and conclusion. Please use notecards to outline your speaking points.
Speaking of notecards.....
You may use three notecards (I'll provide them)during your exam. I'll have written questions on the following content:
3DS Max basic commands and shortcuts
Basic Flash
Basic Actionscript
XHTML and Dreamweaver
For the practical part of the exam you will need to create a flash file and a simple website with tables and a tiled background.
